R&B Artist Rdjarrel Drops Soul-Soothing Visual “Always”



From a quiet beginning in the Netherlands to a Times Square digital billboard, independent R&B artist Rdjarrel is living proof that passion and persistence pay off. After 15 years in the music industry, the singer, songwriter, and producer makes a powerful statement with his newest music video, “Always,” lifted from his soulful album COMFORT.



Warm vocals, romantic cadence, and a feel-good vibe; it’s everything listeners have come to love from Rdjarrel, wrapped in modern-day storytelling.



Born Ritesh Raghu, Rdjarrel creates with deep emotional intention. Inspired by R&B and urban pop legends like Michael Jackson, his sound is smooth yet soulful, leaning into rich melodies and heartfelt lyricism.

“I am a student and fan of R&B soul pop music and that is clearly heard in my singing and music production,” he shares. His fans agree, describing his music as warm, uplifting, and deeply resonant.

Despite working independently and managing most aspects of his career himself, Rdjarrel continues to evolve creatively. One recent personal milestone? Producing his own music video after years of doing it all with a small, committed team.

His latest visual, “Always,” offers a cinematic glimpse of what Rdjarrel does best: connecting through passion. Shot in a film studio, the video allowed him to fully embrace both his singing and dancing abilities. The result is a feel-good love song brought to life in a vibrant, expressive performance.

His growth has been steady and self-driven, and being displayed on a digital billboard in Times Square two years ago marked a turning point.“For many artists, that would be the pinnacle. For me, it’s just the beginning,” says Rdjarrel. “I’m focused on continuing to grow as an artist and staying true to myself.”

Exploring the World of Citizen Journalism

Citizen journalism has become the latest wave to crash onto the shores of media. This new dynamic appears to revolve around social media and short form platforms like blogs rather than the older standard of magazines, newspapers or even newsletters at a community level. Today, anyone with a smart device can be a journalist, capturing and reporting on moments that might otherwise be missed or ignored by what is called mainstream media. Has this phenomenon destroyed the usefulness of what was once known as "tier 1" media outlets? Arguably yes, take for instance the citizen journalists who roam the street and can react and report almost instantly on happenings going on right in front of them as it happens.
